Debit and Credit Cards can be hacked in Just 6 Seconds. As per the research, it is said that it won’t take more than 6 seconds for hackers to get the hold of your Credit card and Debit card details. There are few scientists who are able to bypass all the security features that are supposed to protect the card from online transactions and payments from the Cyber Criminals. They said that it will just take 6 seconds for the hackers to know the details of the specific card by getting the card into their hold. They will know the details like the Card number, Expiry date, CVV number and the security pin of the respective card.

How they do?

There were a few researchers from the Newcastle University in the United Kingdom are doing the attempt to find out the flaws in the existing Visa payment system. It is found that the neither of banks and the networks had managed to differentiate the fake and the invalid attempt from the actual one. Finally as a result, when the Crime one does multiple invalid attempts to get the details of the Credit card by getting the different versions of the Card details. The hackers will now use them on different websites and they will get succeed in no long time.

Debit and Credit Cards can be hacked in Just 6 Seconds. A PhD student from Newcastle University Mohammed Ali explained the process as “The current online payment system does not detect multiple invalid payment requests from different websites. This allows unlimited guesses on each card data field using up to the allowed number of attempts, typically 10 or 20 guesses, on each website.”

He also clears that “Different websites ask for different variations in the card data fields to validate an online purchase. This means it’s quite easy to build up the information and piece it together like a jigsaw. The unlimited guesses, when combined with the variations in the payment data fields, make it frighteningly easy for attackers to generate the entire card details one field at a time.”
